Spiritual Garden Sanctuary
2024 WLCA Award-Winning Project
The St. Camillus Resident Garden in Wauwatosa is a welcoming, ADA-compliant space designed to promote accessibility, connection, and independence for residents of all abilities. Featuring custom raised garden beds and wide, smooth paver paths, the garden encourages hands-on engagement with nature while supporting mobility needs. The layout fosters community interaction and provides a peaceful setting for gardening, reflection, and relaxation.
A central cross-shaped planting area reflects the spiritual values of the community and adds a meaningful focal point to the space. Designed with future growth in mind, the garden can easily accommodate additional features as needs evolve—ensuring it remains a vibrant, healing environment for years to come.
